What is Marriott STARS?
STARS (also known as Marriott Stars) is Marriott’s proprietary travel agency program designed to present the highest level of service, experience, and amenities for their most valued customers.
As a Marriott STARS agent, we get direct access to a range of resources that help us curate the perfect trip for you at a Marriott property. As a Marriott STARS agent, we are able to:
- Have direct contact with key associates at the property includes the Sales, Reservations, and Concierge team, to ensure all your needs are taken care of and you receive a VIP treatment
- Access unique local recommendations, inside tips, and timely details about Marriott properties that can elevate your stay
- Unlock exclusive promotions only available to top luxury travel advisors who partner with Marriott STARS
What benefits do you get with Marriott STARS?
Now here is the best bit… If you book a Marriott STARS rate through KP World Travels, you will receive the following benefits:
Early Check-in / Late Check-out
Subject to availability and forecast occupancy, you can get earliest check-in 9am and latest check-out 4pm. This is a fantastic perk specifically for short weekend breaks so you can make the most out of your stay. We love this benefit and make use of it most often!
Complimentary Breakfast for Two
Guests will receive daily complimentary full breakfast at a hotel restaurant for up to
two guests, per bedroom. In most luxury properties, breakfast can add a substantial amount to the bill and hence this can be a real saving on the wallet!
Room Upgrade to the Next Category
One of the key benefits of Marriott STARS is that your complimentary room upgrade to the next category, subject to availability at check-in.
Welcome Amenity
A small gift is a great way to begin your stay. Welcome greeting and amenity upon arrival can include local snacks, fruits, champagne or a local souvenir. We work with the hotel to customise your welcome amenity. Hence why we really want to get to know our guests!
The hotel management, on behalf of us and Accor HERA, will also share a welcome letter with you.
$100 Food & Beverage / Spa Credit
Treat yourself to in-room dining, meals at the restaurant or treatments in the spa. The $100 hotel credit is yours to use, and all included in your Marriott STARS benefit.
What do the extra benefits cost you?
Nothing!! Why? Because we match the ‘standard rate’ or the ‘best available rate’ advertised on the website and provide the additional benefits highlighted above. Beyond all this, we try our best to make you a VIP client of the hotel and ensure you’re well taken care of. Now who doesn’t like that?
You don’t pay us. You pay the hotel directly at check-out as you normally would.

Most importantly you will:
- Pay the same rate as any other guest BUT you will get extra perks and benefits by booking through us as an Accor HERA agent
- Continue to accrue credit card points as you would otherwise booking directly. We love credit card points and want you to continue piling them up
- Continue to utilise Amex and other credit card offers, if available, when you pay at check-out using your credit card
Marriott STARS Rate vs Booking Direct: Which is Better?
- When you book directly with a hotel, you pay the best available rate unless you book a package rate
- Marriott STARS rate is comparable to the Member rate including breakfast
- In case of Marriott, if you have status, you may get additional perks. However, when you book the same hotel through KP World Travels, as your Marriott STARS travel advisor, you pay the exact same rate but you also receive complimentary perks mentioned (such as credit which the Bonvoy rates do not include). On top of that, we contact the hotel in advance on your behalf to ensure you are treated as a VIP from the moment you check in
- You are prioritised for early check-ins and late check-outs
- You can still use your Amex or credit card offers at checkout
- To put that in context breakfast for two at a luxury hotel typically costs between $60 and $100 per couple per day. Across a four-night stay, that alone is a saving of up to $400, before factoring in the hotel credit and upgrade
Overall, you get more for the same price!
What about your Marriott status benefits?
Our clients staying on the Marriott rate who are also members of Marriott Bonvoy will continue to earn points as usual. In addition, clients may receive both their Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program benefits as well as the Marriott STARS benefits. For overlapping benefits, the guest receives the better of the two benefits.
- You will not lose out on Bonvoy status benefits by booking through us. They will be added to the extra benefits we provide
- You will receive Marriott points for your stay, just as you would if you booked direct
- You will continue to accrue elite nights and stays if you are chasing Bonvoy status or aiming to retain your current status
Which Marriott brands participate in Marriott STARS?
The Marriott STARS program is applicable to Marriott’s top-tier LUXURY properties. This includes The Ritz-Carlton, St.Regis, The Luxury Collection, Bvlgari, Ritz-Carlton Reserve and Edition.
